The Flip Side 17-09-2021

Good evening, Thaddeus here after another day where the title of today's workout made me think about one thing all day long. In the 1999 movie The Boondock Saints, two twin brothers decide to rid their city of crime and evil. They do this together with a friend they call "funny man" who leaves everybody by saying "catch you on the flipside". Cult-movie and a bit violent, but go see it if you haven't already.




Tomorrow is Saturday and next to the Bring-A-Friend classes, we are having another Dugnad to finish up room 3. We would love for you to join us if you have some time available anywhere between 9:00-16:00. We started this Verftet thing six years ago in a training room we build together with our members, expanded it together with our community, and exist and thrive only because of this community. We will take care of some good vibes and a little food and drink. We hope to see you there to lend a hand or two.


Today's workout had a flip side in it as well, where we introduced a new movement after three rounds. Also, we saw Monica complete her first burpees in six years, on the flip side of that, everybody now loves burpees!



Today also was a beautiful test to see what your movements start to look like when you get a bit tired. The beauty is if you make it look easy, by staying consistent in for example keeping the bar close to your body or hitting that full hip extension ("kick back, jump back"), the movement really is more efficient and easier to keep doing. Make it look easy to make it feel easy.
