Paypal – 27th. February. 2020

Today we had a fun but very heavy team 3 workout called Paypal. it was a 25min amrap ( as many rounds or reps as possible), that consists of:

30 strict pullups, 40 strict dumbbell press and lastly 50 back squats. The team can divide the reps how they want, but te workout out has a twist not only is the dumbbell heavy. The weight on the backsquats increase for each round, but it wasn’t a problem for our athletes today because of our awesome 20 rep backsquat program we all did before christmas.

Mind set – ” If Failure is not an option, neither is success

we fear the one who is willing to lose it all. The one who is willing to play full out with no reserves. The one who swings for the fences. That a dangerous person. dangerous enough…. to accomplish something great. We all have a comfort zone. A status quo. It´s warm, cozy, and familiar. But it´s a box, with a ceiling and walls that we can see and touch. Its the world that cannot grow further than what its already grown to. If we want to grow, we have to climb out of that world into the unknown. To face that chance that we may fall flat on our face, because we are walking in new ground. Yet, as much as a “swing and a miss” may sting a but, there´s something far worse. Worse than any of that is the pain of knowing that we didn’t try.

Life is so short, theres no time to blunt, lets swing for the fences.

To start the class off we had our athletes warm those shoulders and legs up with some scap pulls, stick rotations and a light dumbbell goblet squats. After that we got all the athletes to grab a light dumbbell and get them to be aware of the correct posture and position they have to be in to get those perfect strict press.

Getting the team together and give them a quick talk about there backsquats, then giving our athletes time to plan out and get there barbells ready for backsquats. it was 3..2…1 lets go. The focus on the positions and effort was as always in top form, from our athletes. Focusing on there transitions while getting the reps to count with good form and having every teammate look out for each other
